Vietnam er blandt de 5 lande i verden der er mest truede af oversvømmelser pga klimaforandringer. P1 er taget til de oversvømmede områder i Nord-Vietnam, hvor risbønder og fiskere kæmper mod havvandet, der oversvømmer og ødelægger rismarkerne. På COP 17 vil Vietnam stille krav til de vestlige lande om, at de skal reducere CO2 udslippet endnu mere end allerede aftalt. For Vietnam frygter at "deres spisekammer" i Mekong-deltaet vil forsvinde, når temperatur stigningerne fortsætter og vandstanden stiger.
