Hamish Linklater joins Kyle Meredith to talk about Manhunt, a conspiracy thriller about one of the best-known but least understood crimes in history, the astonishing story of the hunt for John Wilkes Booth in the aftermath of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination. The actor, who portrays the late president, tells us about wanting to show the family side of the often-portrayed figure, finding the right voice to use, and why we continue to be so interested in the events that took place with Booth and the assassination. Linklater also discusses what it was like to work with Tobias Menzies, who portrays Edwin Stanton, the U.S. Secretary of War at the time, and Lily Taylor as Mary Todd Lincoln, as well as directing the upcoming Downtown Owl with his partner Lily Rabe.
