Deadly robbery attempt ends in SEPTA bus crash as robbers try to flee

Two people robbed and killed a man inside a West Philly corner store last night, then crashed into a Septa bus when they tried to get away. It happened around 10 last night near 40th and Brown Streets. The victim, a 36-year-old man, was playing a video machine inside the store. The victim pulled out his own gun. He was killed in an exchange of gunfire. But, he hit one of the robbers, who was a 17-year-old boy. Both guys ran outside and got into a Mazda, driven by a third man, and went the wrong way on Brown, where they hit a Septa bus, then got out an ran away. Police arrested the 17-year-old. He's in stable condition. Police are still looking for the other two. No one on the bus was injured. (Photo: NBC10 Philadelphia)
