31:05Vicki Sokolik refuses to be an Ostrich. Her son brought to her attention the crisis of unhoused youth — youth unhoused, not living with a parent/guardian, and not in foster care — in America, and she has been fighting to support this vulnerable population every since. Most active in Tampa Bay, Florida, Vicki is the founder and CEO of the nonprofit Starting Right, Now, which removes barriers for unaccompanied homeless youth to cultivate long-term well-being and self-sufficiency. She is also the author of the new book, “If You See Them: Young, Unhoused, and Alone in America.” Vicki Sokolik joined host Jay Ruderman to discuss the many ways unhoused youth fall through the cracks in our society, how her organization helps them, and also how to build trust with people who could use your help. A small passenger jet collided with a Blackhawk helicopter in midair while landing at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Washington, D.C. Wegmans shoppers, check your freezer. The grocery chain is recalling its store brand frozen chicken nuggets because they may contain bone fragments. The recall applies to the Wegmans 46-ounce family pack bag. The affected products were sold at Wegmans stores throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, along with several other states. No illnesses have been reported, but Wegmans says it became aware when people started complaining of bones in the nuggets. Police used an iPad to track down a little boy in an SUV that was stolen from Strawberry Mansion Tuesday night. Shortly before midnight, police said a woman left her Toyota RAV4 running with her son inside while she went into a family member’s house, located near 30th Street and Susquehanna Avenue. That’s when someone jumped into the SUV and sped off. Fortunately, the 4-year-old had an iPad with him. Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said they were able to use the remote tracking feature to locate the kid — and the car. They tracked it down about 15 minutes later and a few blocks away at 29th and Flora streets. The boy was in the back seat — still sleeping. The thief, however, was gone. Investigators are checking surveillance cameras to see if they can identify the suspect.…
