2nd Chronicles 12:5- Shemaiah the prophet said, “Thus says the Lord, ‘You have forsaken Me, so I also have forsaken you to Shishak.”

This message is based mainly on the book of 2nd Chronicles chapters 12 to 16. The success of Joshua, Joseph and David also are mentioned. Our God is a very loving God like any loving father. A loving father gives his children everything he can. If the children go estray and do not follow his path, he will slowly stop giving everything freely. A foolish son will rebel against the father without understanding the purpose of the father. When this happens, a loving father will cry in secret lamenting the pathetic situation of the son. At the same time, he will pray for the son to follow God’s path so that he can lavishly give the son everything he wants. This is what happens in the parable of the lost son. If a human being is this much loving, our heavenly Father is how much more loving! If we look at the success level of the kings of Israel and Judah, it is very clear that when they followed the commandments of God fully, they became very successful in everything even when the chance of success was very limited. When they deviated from God’s path and did things according to their thoughts, they faced failures one after another. Usually what happened was when they became successful too many times, they took too much pride in themselves and forgot about God. We often forget that the hands of God are there behind the success of every person.
