If the Chargers traded for the star receiver they would be getting a cornerstone offensive player that would elevate the level of the young pass catchers around him. Another way the Chargers could boost their roster is by adding one if the top flight free agents available like Stephon Gilmore. The team has major question marks at cornerback and Gilmore would come in as the best guy right away and give DC Jesse Minter more to work with. Justin Simmons is another big name still on the market, but the chances the Charger sign another star softly are slim.
