This year, Marquette University welcomes Coach Shaka Smart as the head coach of the men's basketball team. Coach Smart is a Wisconsin native who grew up in Madison for 18 years before going onto coaching success, including leading Virginia Commonwealth University to a Final Four appearance. On and off the court, Coach Smart is committed to relationship building, including community engagement and service.
