Hey everyone, welcome back to another review! Inside Out 2, the sequel to one of the most celebrated films Pixar (a FANTASTIC studio) has ever put out, has now hit theaters but the hype for this one just hasn't been there. I was looking forward to it and was very curious about what Pixar had to say about emotions during our teenage years as opposed to being a child but it's weird that it took 9 years. And an even weirder choice was waiting 9 years and not aging Riley up a little more. Anyways, we now have the film. Does it live up to the original? Find out in this review! Inside Out 2: Directed by: Kelsey Mann Screenplay by: Dave Holstein, Meg LeFauve Produced by: Mark Nielsen Executive Producers: Pete Docter, Jonas Rivera, Dan Scanlon Music by: Andrea Datzman Cinematography by: Adam Habib, Jonathan Pytko Editing by: Maurissa Horowitz Casting by: Natalie Lyon, Kevin Reher Production Design by: Jason Deamer Cast: Maya Hawke, Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Lewis Black, Tony Hale, Liza Lapira, Ayo Edebiri, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Paul Walter Hauser Synopsis: Teenager Riley’s mind headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she’s not alone.
