Music Masla - A Spicy Blend of Music and Life is an exciting Radio 4EB project! Over a period of six months, project staff spent days traipsing around south-east Queensland, discovering not just the music, but the passions and lifestyles of 11 culturally diverse artists.
The Saba Ensemble was established to provide a rehearsal and performance space in which theoretical, practical and historical interests in Persian music could be explored. Naghmehaye Janfaza (Revitalising melodies) is in Mahoor, composed by Masoud who plays Santoor in the Saba ensemble. The lyrics are from Rumi.
