With the likes of Berklee, Spotify, and numerous Live Nation touring venues, Boston has quickly become a lively music hub. South Boston, however, is an often overlooked neighborhood full of an energetic crowd but minimal music. The Playwright, a classic bar and restaurant in South Boston, has recently undergone a complete redesign, allowing for a 2.5x increase in capacity and the addition of a state-of-the-art sound stage. This renovation prioritizes live music, bringing live music performances to South Boston five days a week!

The Playwright's social media manager, Brooke Ames, and general manager, John Carbonneau, stopped by our studio to speak with Music You're Missing host and the Playwright's talent buyer, Brendan Jeannetti, about the new space and all its offerings!
