She received her BS in Wildlife Ecology, served as Education Specialist for Hawk Mountain Sanctuary in Pennsylvania for several years, and then returned to her Sonoran Desert home to co-found the Environmental Education Exchange, a non-profit organization with the mission of increasing environmental literacy through collaborative environmental education programs. As AWF’s Conservation Programs Director, Trica manages several programs that get people outdoors and directly involved in conservation projects.
