Professor Emeritus James Hoyt was (and still is!) a legend on the University of Wisconsin-Madison Campus. Not only did he teach 16,000+ students in the Journalism School, he has done everything in broadcasting from installing rooftop TV antennas as a teenager to taking the call at NBC the morning of the Watergate Scandal to winning prestigious journalism awards. While he’s not one to toot his own horn, he has picked up his tuba again after his marching band days at UW-Madison in the 1960s!
