Was Patricia Lupton the victim of one of Toronto’s earliest serial killers?

Ontario Cold Cases - Canada’s True Crime Podcast: S2-EP31 Patricia Lupton

Toronto in 1959 was still largely a safe city, yet crime was steadily increasing. Particularly violent crime. In this week’s podcast I’ll focus on one murder, the first of a trilogy of episodes over the coming weeks that very well may be connected. That of a young girl, not yet in her teens, and possibly a victim of one of the earliest serial killers in Toronto’s history.

On March 9, 1959 12-year-old Patricia Lupton was abducted and strangled and her body found in Scarborough, after answering an ad for a man who phoned looking for a babysitter.

Patricia’s murder remains unsolved. But was she not even the first victim of a serial killer?
