其實PhD是一個大家即熟悉又陌生的存在。很多人以為PhD也就只是學校裡面最高等的『學生』，但其實更多是一群青年人當初保持著一股熱血，不惜領那少到可以的獎學金來完成一個對於世界的探索，甚至還攜家帶眷的。但是同時卻必須得面對生活的壓力，老師的脾氣，政府的接濟（但很多時候是被衝康的）。
這個Podcast是希望大家可以透過一個在美國追夢的少年（？）從他的視角來看待這些現實環境。他在美國混了四年才好不容易成為博士候選人，今年博士二年級的菜逼八，如何在美國夢和現實的巨浪拉扯。就讓我們一起進入他的世界
