While Dot-E M, a native of Dublin, has been listening to, dancing to, and playing electronic music for 25+ years, he has only recently started putting his selections and mixes out to a wider audience via Phever (‘the sound of the Irish underground’). He was encouraged by others to do so having won a DJing competition in 2019 (where he got to open for Liquid, whose music he has always been a big fan of). A firm believer in not being bound by labels or genres, Dot-E M is as likely to mix a track from 1990 into one from 2021, as he is to produce a ‘straight’ mix of contemporary techno. It all depends on the mood. Whatever the era or genre, the only criteria for playing a track are its quality and danceability.
