#57: Das Dresden-Projekt (3): Bridging Cultures: Unification, Diversity, and the North Korean Refugee Experience – Interview with Miri Cha of the Citizens‘ Alliance for North Korean Human Rights
Manage episode 435688400 series 3401429
When you think about North Korea, what comes to your mind when thinking about the country‘s culture and/or traditions? Usually, the suffering of the North Korean people pops up first and very little is known about the cultural heritage of the country. This is why the third podcast episode of the Dresden special project is dedicated to learning more about North Korean culture and how it might differ or is similar to South Korean culture.
In this episode, Andrea and Lena are interviewing Miri Cha of the Citizens‘ Alliance for North Korean Human Rights (NKHR), who works there as the senior director of the education and training team of the NHKR.
Miri, Andrea and Lena discuss the diverging development of North and South Korean culture, possible changes in language and how North Korean refugees are adapting to the culture of their neighbouring country.
Would you like to join us in learning more about this interesting topic? Then make sure to tune into this episode and maybe also the previous one!
Enjoy listening!
