În ciuda aşteptărilor sumbre, Philipp relatează teafăr din Pădurea Neagră şi se lasă molipsit de veselia generală. Paula, în schimb, nu prea înţelege obiceiurile. Philipp se bucură din plin de atmosfera de carnaval, spre deosebire de Paula, care nu numai că trebuie să-l găsească pe Philipp, dar vrea să găsească şi maşina lui care a fost furată. Misiunea îi este mult îngreunată de măşti şi costume. Şi, parcă n-ar fi fost de ajuns, la final Ayhan îşi permite o glumă răutăcioasă. La fel de variate ca şi costumele de carnaval sunt şi funcţiile verbului "sein" (a fi). În acest episod sunt scoase în evidenţă diferitele tipuri de obiect.
