Die Entführung der Ursula Herrmann im Jahr 1981 ist einer der bekanntesten Kriminalfälle der deutschen Geschichte. Die Tat ist grausig – ein Mädchen wird entführt und in einer Kiste im Wald vergraben – und die Polizei fahndet jahrzehntelang vergeblich nach den Tätern. Dann, fast 30 Jahre nach der Tat, wird einer der allerersten Verdächtigen für die Entführung verurteilt. Doch Ursulas Bruder glaubt nicht, dass da der richtige im Gefängnis sitzt. Er tut alles, um den Fall wieder aufzurollen.
