Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten kan få mycket att göra framöver om Högsta förvaltningsdomstolen ändrar praxis för möjligheten att överklaga beslut från myndigheten. I två fall ska HFD avgöra om IMY:s beslut att inte inleda tillsyn och beslut om att avsluta tillsynsärenden ska kunna överklagas.
