Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!
This week is the 2nd and final instalment of my video game book club entry for Final Fantasy VII Remake. I have completed this one just in time for the upcoming follow-up game, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. In this episode I go over my thoughts on FF7 Remake's last half + Intergrade DLC content and my overall feelings on the entire game, especially compared to the original. I can say that I was surprised by what I found on completing this game! Beware though, this episode is full on spoilers for FF7 Remake, but there are no spoilers for parts of the original FF7 that are not part of this remake, nor are there any spoilers for the upcoming FF7 Rebirth. I also reached out to the community and got some good discussion about how others felt about this game, and I review the discourse that was generated. One thing is for sure, remaking a legendary and important game like Final Fantasy 7 will lead to lots of polarizing opinions!
