Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!
Thank you for 1 year of Red Rooster's Gaming Coop! This segment is almost caught up to the present day. In this episode we look at the first few years of the Nintendo Switch and the last few years of the PS4 and Xbox One. These years are pretty hotly contested for game of the year, so much so that I had to continue to offer 2 lists for each year, honorary mentions and the actual nominee list for game of the year. The most exciting thing about this entry is that most, if not all of these games are readily available to play today, so if you missed one of them and think it sounds up your alley, you can easily check it out. This applies to almost all of the games really, with one very notable and unfortunate exception. Tune in to hear which game of the year contender between 2017 - 2019 is inaccessible today unless you have the specific right hardware combination to play it.
