On 9 April 1097 Bohemond of Taranto arrived at Constantinople. One of the most famous of the Crusaders, who left a huge legacy in Syria. Even though that’s not his real name. He was a Norman prince who had already invaded the Byzantine Empire twice in the last 20 years. But this time, he came in peace. Or did he?
