The book weaves together expert knowledge and research at the intersection of public transport and a diverse array of disciplines. These include industrial designing, optimisation, economics and land-use planning. It is organised into five sections, which enable practitioners and researchers to dive into the perspective that is relevant for them. These are: - Research Foundations - User Perspectives - Policy Perspectives - Planning and Operations Perspectives - Service development and Future Perspectives We take a deeper look at Chapter Two - State of the Art of Public Transport Research.
