Emmy (MFC in A Curse of Wings & Gems) is not allowed to move, imprisoned and shackled because her uncontrollable magic killed her mother.]

-The titles of these books have one trait that belongs to the dragons and one trait that belongs to the female main characters.

Knowing this for A Curse of Scales & Feathers could be a spoiler, because Airi's heritage is a mystery that lasts for most of the book. (Readers have been pleasantly surprised to learn what she really is!)

-I gave my constant habit of counting and doing math in my head to Airi except she uses it to cope with anxiety.

-Emmy hates wearing clothes because, well, she's a mermaid.
