„Atunci Iuda, vânzătorul,
când a văzut că Isus a fost osândit la moarte,
s-a căit,
a dus înapoi cei treizeci de arginţi,
i-a dat preoţilor celor mai de seamă şi bătrânilor,
şi a zis:
'Am păcătuit, căci am vândut sânge nevinovat'.
'Ce ne pasă nouă?' i-au răspuns ei. 'Treaba ta.'
Iuda a aruncat arginţii în Templu
şi s-a dus de s-a spânzurat."
