Today a chat with Israeli photographer Guy Fattal! Guy is an photographer originally from Israel who now lives in Whistler, Canada. Guys Photography is largely based around skiing and he was the winner of the Deep Winter photography challenge this year. This along with my love of people, travel and nature constantly drives me to explore and experience new horizons. I feel that the camera lens is a means to capture and combine the essence of natural backdrops along with the human force of extreme athletic performance. I love photographing brilliant people in incredible surroundings with an emphasis on movement, speed and danger. My goal is to record striking and powerful photos that evoke emotion and fascination.I grew up in the hills surrounding Jerusalem and many of my local photographs echo both the uniqueness, divisions and similarities of the different faiths and cultures that live in the area. Being raised in a small country that’s never out of the news makes for a pressure cooker type of environment. That background is a part of what attracts me to vast mountain ranges and the warm camaraderie of the extreme sports world.
