A punto de terminar este 2024 son 47 las mujeres que han sido asesinadas por sus parejas o exparejas este año. Son seis víctimas menos que el año pasado. La última víctima tenía 29 años y la mató el lunes de madrugada su pareja, de 60 años, en Madrid. A pesar de que había una orden de alejamiento vigente, vivía con su agresor. Las tasas más altas de asesinatos machistas suelen registrarse en los meses vacacionales, es cuando las víctimas se ven obligadas a pasar más tiempo con sus agresores. En Navidad las llamadas al 016 suben un 10%.
