I wasn't going to talk about this, because i'm probably a bit scared and still a bit taken back. However, it was after a playdate with a lovely lady and her son, that gave me the kick up the arse i needed.
I recently went for a colposcopy, which completely came out of the blue. But, this isn't really about me, its about making women conscious of prioritising their health.
Did you know that the UK and Australia have the best 'Smear' screening programmes in the World! Yet, so many women don't get themselves checked. I know it's not the most glamorous of procedures, but it can literally save your life.
I am a huge advocate of self-care, i agree with taking time for your yourself and doing activities to better your mind and wellbeing. What's the point of your brows being 'on fleek' if your health is knackered??
Ladies, please talk about these things, please help each other to realise the importance of 'self-care'. I'm not saying don't get your nails or roots done. Yes, book the retreats, but first make sure your 'Smear tests' are up to date.
