In this episode, Erin Olson discusses the importance of knowing the difference between waiting and looking. This is important not just in your own life, but in the lives of others.

Key Verses:

“Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.” (Luke 2:25)

“Coming up to them at that very moment, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.” (Luke 2:38)

prosdechomal (Greek) – to await (with confidence and patience), to expect, to look for

Much different than the passive definition for the English word “wait.”
