This is such an important episode that provides various layers to the subject. Listen with curiosity at the forefront and still consult with any medical professionals you see fit if you are also questioning your own sensations of depression. But, it is no coincidence, that I never had experienced a severe episode of depression until I became aware of the trauma I had endured. That once I became aware, it was evident that it was too much for my mind and body to handle when I did not have healthy tools to be with (heal from) the trauma. So, to what this episode speaks to, of course I became depressed. As humans, our inner and outer world is interdependent of one another. Allow this episode to continue helping you look at the wholeness, the entirety of the human experience.

Key Takeaways:

  • Is it depression or is it trauma?
  • Is it depression or is it colonization, capitalism, and the patriarchy?
  • Colonization creating the mental health field
  • Looking beyond symptoms
  • Symptoms are not the problem
  • Healing from the root
