1. Two Principles at Work: Believers have two principles at work within them—light and darkness. In their natural state, they were subject only to darkness, but with the entrance of God's light, a conflict arises between these two opposing forces.

2. Apostle Paul's Insight: Referencing Romans 7, Paul describes the internal struggle between the desire to do good and the presence of evil. This conflict is a result of God dividing the light from the darkness within us.
