花蓮縣在4月3日發生大地震，迄今餘震不斷，特別是22日從晚上到23日凌晨，災情可說是有增無減，但是該縣選出的立委傅崐萁卻執意要在25-28日前往北京訪問，讓外界質疑不斷。傅崐萁在23日提出聲明，強調此行是為了兩岸和平而努力，但現階段有什麼急迫性？他去了北京就會減少中國的軍機與軍艦繞台？有比花蓮救災與復災還重要？傅還說此行是為了振興花蓮災後的重建經濟而努力，但現在花蓮仍不適合旅遊，就算中國開放觀光客來台，也不太可能去花蓮，所以傅在急什麼？
