SUPERMERCADOS
Siempre que voy al supermercado compro muchas más cosas de las que pensaba, si llevo una lista compro más o menos el doble de lo apuntado, sólo cuando tengo mucha prisa y no me paro a mirar, compro lo justo, lo cual no me pasa casi nunca.
Seguramente, a ti que me escuchas, te pasa lo mismo, no es todo culpa nuestra, los supermercados tienen sus “trucos” para hacer que llenemos nuestra cesta de la compra.
La música, que en principio parece algo inocente, está pensada para que influya en nuestro comportamiento, cuanto más lenta es, más compramos. La colocación de los productos también es importante, los que quedan a la altura de los ojos son más caros que los colocados en los estantes más bajos y las ofertas no siempre son tan maravillosas como los carteles que las anuncian.
A veces tenemos que recorrer pasillos interminables y llenos de tentaciones para llegar a los productos básicos como la leche, el pan, la carne o el pescado. Y ellos saben que con esas luces bien enfocadas y esos colores tan llamativos no pasaremos de largo, además, si hacemos la compra con hambre está demostrado que compramos mucho más que si la hacemos después de comer.
La llegada a la caja, mientras esperamos el turno para pagar, es la última estrategia para que añadamos productos al carro, caramelos, chicles, patatas fritas, la última tentación a la que es difícil resistirse.
Podemos evitar muchas de ellas si nos concentramos, vamos sólo a lo necesario, buscamos los productos más baratos, no compramos con hambre y no deambulamos por los pasillos mirando cosas que no necesitamos.
El problema es que no se puede estar tan alerta siempre que vas al supermercado y la mayor parte de las veces, yo me dejo llevar.

Whenever I go to the supermarket I buy many more things than I thought, if I carry a list I buy more or less twice as much, only when I'm in a hurry and I do not stop to look, I buy the right thing, which does not happen to me never.

Music, which at first seems innocent, is designed to influence our behavior, the slower it is, the more we buy. The placement of the products is also important, those that are at eye level are more expensive than those placed on the lower shelves and the offers are not always as wonderful as the posters announcing them.
Sometimes we have to go through endless corridors full of temptations to get to basic products such as milk, bread, meat or fish. And they know that with those well-focused lights and those striking colors we will not pass by, and if we make the purchase with hunger it is shown that we buy much more than if we do it after eating.
The arrival at the cashier, while we wait for the turn to pay is the last strategy for us to add products to the car, candy, chewing gum, chips, the last temptation to which it is difficult to resist.
We can avoid many of them if we concentrate, we go only to what is necessary, we look for the cheapest products, we do not buy with hunger and we do not wander through the corridors looking at things we do not need.
The problem is that you can not be so alert whenever you go to the supermarket, most of the time I let myself go.
