On January 23, 2005, Tammy Gardner called 911 to report that she’d been shot by her husband, John Steven Gardner. Tammy’s condition worsened and she lapsed into a coma prior to arriving at the hospital and died two days later. Gardner was arrested at the beginning of February and eventually charged with capital murder.
