As she aged, Wendy faced questions about retirement, which fueled her determination to challenge age stereotypes. Inspired by the 2019 Rose Report, she explored the barriers women face in business, gathering insights from 1,600 women.

Wendy's research uncovered both untapped skills and significant age-based discrimination, especially in securing investment for women over 55.

Her Refirement report highlighted these issues, and following her TEDx talk, her message resonated widely.

About Wendy

Wendy has more than 30 years experience working with women business owners in all sectors helping them create business strategy that achieves growth and success.

She helps mature women become more agile in business and less risk averse, learning how to turn their talents into a commercial advantage.

The 2024 Wise Women in Business Green paper is based on Wendys research with 1600 business owners over 55 and their lived experience of being a mature entrepreneur. That led to her TedX talk and the launch of the Refirement UK movement; on a mission to reimagine retirement for women in the 21st Century.
