To celebrate this month's International Women's Day, I bring you an episode exploring my country Ireland's treatment of women.
In the episode I talk about:

the female role models I admired growing up in Ireland
Ireland's shameful past of shunning unmarried women and their children
Ireland's recent vote to legalise abortion for women
gender based violence in Ireland and abroad

a microagression = indirect, subtle, or unintentional discrimination against members of a marginalized group.

a role model = to look up to someone = to admire

to criminalise / decriminalise = to make something a crime

to shun = to persistently avoid, ignore, or reject (someone or something)
