By way of brief review, you'll recall that the people of Israel have been in Egypt for about 430 years at this point. They entered the country with the favor of the Egyptians under Joseph's leadership, but the winds of adversity began to blow against Israel as a new king was raised up in Egypt, and they were enslaved and put into bondage to build a lot of the major grain buildings and the pyramids of Egypt. And this went on for 400 years. In the last part of chapter five, we hear the comforting words of God Almighty to a servant Moses. Verse one we find, if you're following along in the notes, the assurance of the lord to Moses and he says now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh because of my mighty hand he will let them go by my mighty hand Pharaoh himself will drive the Israelites out. It's such a wonderful thing right out of the gate looking at the mighty hand of God. What a wonderful thing to know that Moses didn't have to do this. Imagine, he couldn't, he killed one Egyptian 40 years earlier and ruined his life, and really delayed his calling. Enjoy the rest of the message. Blessings, The Epic Life
