They discuss Dr. Usmani’s Year’s Best coverage in which he describes the past year’s breakthroughs in immunotherapies for multiple myeloma. The focus in particular on B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) –targeted therapies, including chimeric antigen receptor T-cells (CAR-Ts) and bispecific T-cell engagers. The editors discuss data presented as recently as the 2022 ASH Annual Meeting, as well as issues surrounding toxicity, patient relapse, and the future of bispecifics and CAR-Ts.
