He is virtually unknown in Jazz music nor received the notoriety and Royalties for music he composed and Arranged : Lush Life, TAKE the A Train , Something To Live For , PASSION Flower and Satin Doll just to name a few. STAYHORN BORN September 29th 1915 in Dayton, Ohio and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa. Billy Strayhorn also Broadway musicals with Orson Wells and helped develop Be Bop at Minton's Playhouse.
