According to a statement from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, fines will be imposed on those who do not register for the unemployment insurance scheme. For work permits issued before January 1, 2023, fines will be applied starting on June 30. Those with work permits obtained on or after that date must abide by the programme within four months of entering the country.
