Cryptids and mythical beasts make up an enormous sum of what makes fiction so captivating. The human mind, compelled by fear, or a need of excitement or novelty, is capable of creating incredible beings that inhabit our folklore, myths and legends. How much of what is written has it's origin in truth? Or something like it? And which came first, the experience, or the idea? Is it possible that all monsters have always been, only to be re imagined with every passing century in every culture of the globe? And what does that imply about dragons - the most popular creatures of all time?
