You may be attempting to be productive...but doing it all wrong.
Anyone can be busy. It takes some training, practice and strategy to be really productive.
It's been a theme in some of my coaching calls lately so I figured I'd share some ideas here on how to fix your "busy" or "I just can't get to the important stuff" problem.
It's easy to get dragged into other peoples' emergencies. They can seem so compelling! It's easier to solve someone else's problems than our own anyway so who cares? Then you drop what you're doing, no matter how important...and skip off with your 5 Alarm Fire Friend.
That's not going to get you anywhere. You'll eventually come back to whatever you were working on (or not), and feel like you have to start allllll over again.
Save yourself the mental anguish. Follow these rules and it'll be a golden, beautiful and productive day!
