Happy Wednesday! Today we're continuing our debut series with our long-awaited Black Lives Matter discussion. Tune in to hear about our initial reaction to George Floyd's murder, and how deeply it resonated with us. From there, we discuss the different meanings of defunding the police and explain how we all need to meet in the middle to actually make real financial changes. Another big part of this segment was our Protect Black Women conversation, where we provide insight on the misconceptions placed on us Black women, all the while talking about the importance of loving ourselves in a world that tends to downgrade us. Other topics include social media, allies: do's and don't's, along with what we think our next steps may be to fight racism and ignorance as a whole.
