For the third straight year, The Viewfinder Podcast is thrilled to bring you a recap of the annual Louisiana Film Prize. Held each October in Shreveport, and with a brilliant series of short films and filmmakers competing for the event's grand prize of $25,000, the 2023 edition of Film Prize again showcased the excellence and talent of the Pelican State's independent film community.
In this year's top 5 films is CAUGHT ON TAPE, directed and co-written by Chris Alan Evans and Prize Fest veteran Alexander Jeffery, and co-starring Finnegan Collins as Finn, a teenager who constantly stumbles every time he tries to verbally express his feelings for his would-be girlfriend (played by Carolanne Adams).
With his friends advising him that watching X-rated movies will boost his confidence, Finn discovers a well-hidden porno tape at the home of his dad (played by Evans). Though mesmerized at first, Finn ultimately learns that unlike the fake and way-too-mature sexual foreplay he watches on TV, there’s nothing that compares to real romance and human companionship.
