Lisa Blower is an English writer based in the West Midlands. Her work has received many awards including The Arnold Bennet Prize and The Guardian National Short Story Prize. She has written two novels and her latest publication is the short story collection 'It's Gone Dark Over Bill's Mother's'. On this episode Lisa talks about not being ready for success when she won The Guardian National Short Story Prize. She also opens about the arduous process of publishing her very first novel, 'Sitting Ducks'. She is a Creative Writing senior lecturer at the University of Wolverhampton.
