In the latest episode of Off the Boards, Senior DE Jaylon Allen joined GoTigers247. Jaylon is an OG veteran for the Tigers and is going into his 5th year with the Tigers.

In this interview, Jaylon speaks about his desire to take a stronger leadership role within the program and lead the Tigers back to a conference championship. He has spent days watching games from last year, and described the feeling he gets as "sick to his stomach." Jaylon describes his demeanor as a leader as someone who is completely consistent day to day, and that he desires to show all the young players new to the program the mentality it takes to be successful within the Tiger program.

Jaylon then shares how he has adjusted to having a fourth defensive coordinator in five years. He describes the new schemes put in place by Matt Barnes and how he is being used in ways he has never been used before. The level of excitement in Jaylon is obvious as he describes his expectations for the defense in 2022.

In the second segment of this episode, Jaylon goes into detail on how important doing community work in Memphis is to him, and how his mom and stepdad have pushed him to active both on the field and in the community.
