On march 4 I spoke with Yevheniia Fedotova for the first episode of a Ukraine history series called "Ukraine: History in the making", that I'm doing with her, Olena Dudko and Elizabeth Pulvas where we, over the next four months present the history of Ukraine.
Our aim is to reach as many people as possible, because we think that by spreading knowledge about the history of Ukraine, we help people to understand why Ukraine and Ukrainians are so resilient in the face of tyranny. In this episode Yevheniia presents the story of the Trypillian, Scythian and Sarmatian civilizations. The Trypilians, Scytians and Sarmatians were the people inhabiting what is now Ukraine before the formation of Kievan Rus. In the next episode we talk about Kievan Rus.
