No amount of changing into who I thought others wanted me to be could fix my need to be liked by everyone.
If I was accepted and liked by others, I thought it could give me permission to like myself too. Instead I figured something was wrong with me and whatever that was couldn't be found out by anyone. Which lead me to try even harder to be accepted and do even more kindness and gifting... to manipulate them into liking me.
It made me more of a mess.
