Welcome to ‘Weak Days with Jesus. Today’s sermon is by John-David Mull.
Today’s song is written and sung by Denise Tewes who wrote this after seeing "The Passion of the Christ" and was so moved by the love and sacrifice of our Savior. It felt so personal to her and it made her want to change the way she lived life. When this song was written, Denise and her husband were in the throws of contemplating adoption. They already had five kids but she kept feeling this tug on her heart. God drew her to the Psalms and she began was writing quite a few songs that were as true to scripture as she could get them. Today's song was just a free flowing reaction after seeing that movie. The recording is from a collection of 13 songs on an album called “Apple of Your Eye.”
