Good morning, Washington! I'm your weather buddy, and boy, do we have a chilly lineup for you this Martin Luther King Day and beyond.
Let's dive right into this arctic adventure. Today, expect a mostly sunny day with temperatures struggling to climb, topping out near a brisk 24 degrees Fahrenheit. Those northwest winds will be dancing between 7 to 17 miles per hour, with gusts potentially reaching 24 miles per hour. So, bundle up, DC!
Tonight, we're looking at a mostly clear sky with temperatures plummeting to around 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Wind chill values might drop to zero, so break out those extra layers, folks.
Tuesday brings a mostly cloudy scene with a high near 23 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds will be playing musical chairs, starting northwest and then becoming light and variable in the afternoon.
Wednesday looks sunny and crisp, with a high near 21 degrees Fahrenheit. By Thursday, we'll see a slight warm-up, hitting around 32 degrees Fahrenheit with mostly sunny skies.
As we roll into the weekend, temperatures will gradually climb. Saturday will be sunny with a high near 40 degrees Fahrenheit, and Sunday looks mostly cloudy with temperatures reaching about 46 degrees Fahrenheit.
